I have never posted pictures of our school room since we finished remodeling it. Below is a picture of our school room at the beginning of the school year. The walls were painted cream - very dirty since the room had previously been used for storage. The floor was cement and the bathroom was also all cement - no tiles even in the shower. It was dark and dingy in the room but now with fresh, bright paint, light colored tiles and new lighting, it is a much happier place to have school!

Kelly made a beautiful rail and ladder to convert the storage loft into a play loft for the girls. We also added carpet up there to make it more comfortable. A friend put in tiling - both in the school room and the bathroom that is attached. We also added a doorway to connect the room to the main part of the house. Originally, we had to go around to the back side of the house to enter the room but now we go through our laundry room to get to the school room.

Painting the trim. The ceiling is high in this room so there is space for a small loft.
In the picture below you can see the tile that we had put in. It is a sand color and makes the room much brighter than the dark gray floor that was previously there.
This is the bathroom that is attached to the school room. The tiles were all added after we moved in and we also added the electric shower head that instantly heats you water while you take a shower. When we have guests, we put a matress in the school room and they have their own bathroom to use too. So, come on over and visit us!!
