Here are some pictures of our new house. We live in a neighborhood called Ngumo Nera. It is a gated neighborhood which means there is a gate that you have to go through in order to enter the neighborhood with a guard there to open and close it. Supposedly he doesn't let in people that don't belong inside. Inside the main gate there are about 50 houses. Then each house has a wall around it and another gate that you have to open to get inside. The picture below is of our wall and gate with our townhouse behind.

We've been working hard to make it into a home. I've enjoyed picking out paint colors and furniture and seeing it all come together. There is still a more work to do but it is getting more "homey" feeling everyday.
Below is a picture of our kitchen. Notice the bars on our windows - all the windows and doors in our house have bars on them. We didn't have any bars on any of our windows in Kabul so it is a change to have those here. Makes it really hard to clean them!!
Dining room: (the white doorway goes into our kitchen)
More pictures to come tomorrow if I am able to be online!
Nice refrigerator...you really have everything packed in tight. :) What is on the left? I want to know everything, huh? You know mom.
